Katie Lewis CRT2-I specialize in working with individuals who are experiencing mood and anxiety issues, professional role concerns, and difficulties in interpersonal relationships and life transitions. I have worked with individuals with many different backgrounds and experiences, including veterans, artists, working professionals and students, and those experiencing chronic health or medical concerns. As a clinician I maintain an open-mind and flexible, collaborative approach that respects client autonomy and authority, with the goal of creating a safe and supportive space for working through troubling issues and concerns.  I offer individualized psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults and psychological assessment services for older children, adolescents and adults.

I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the Brooklyn campus of Long Island University, and completed a pre-doctoral internship and postdoctoral Fellowship in psychology at Albany Medical Center, where I obtained advanced training in psychotherapy and psychological assessment. I have published and presented nationally on a wide range of topics including suicide and self-harming behaviors, personality psychopathology and assessment, and the ethics of confidentiality in clinical writing.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in both New York (#021317) and Massachusetts (#10581), and the Director of Research at the Austen Riggs Center. Click here to learn more about my research work.
